Wireless routers from entry-level dual-band units up to Wi-Fi 6. For most homes here the meaningful step up is from single-band to dual-band: the 5GHz band is far less congested than 2.4GHz in a built-up area, which matters more than the headline speed figure. Gigabit WAN and LAN ports are worth having even on a slower connection, because they remove the router as a bottleneck between wired devices on the local network.
