Privacy Policy

This page sets out what we collect when you order from dotpk.pk, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and how long we keep it.

One point first, because it is the one customers ask about most. There is no card payment gateway on this site. We accept cash on delivery and direct bank transfer only. No card number, CVV or bank login detail is ever collected, transmitted or stored by us, at any point.

What we collect, and when

When you place an order — because we cannot deliver without it: your name, mobile number, delivery address, city and province, an optional email address, an optional landmark, and any note you add.

When you pay by bank transfer: the reference you send us and the receipt. That receipt is an image you choose to send, usually on WhatsApp.

When you contact us through the contact form: your name, email, phone and message.

Automatically, on every visit: your IP address and browser user-agent, kept with the order for fraud and abuse investigation, and in server logs.

What we never collect: card numbers, CVVs, bank login details, or a password — there are no customer accounts on this site. You order without registering.

Cookies

A session cookie, which holds your cart and the CSRF token that protects the checkout form. It is necessary; the site cannot function without it. Your cart persists for about a fortnight.

Google Analytics and Meta advertising measurement are optional. Neither service is loaded and no order or enquiry is sent to Meta's server API unless you choose Allow marketing. Choosing Essential only keeps both off. You can change that choice at any time using Privacy choices in the footer. A browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal overrides an earlier grant.

Anti-spam

Public forms carry a hidden field that a human never fills in. If a bot fills it, the submission is refused and recorded — including the IP address — so we can tell a spam wave from a broken form. Where CAPTCHA is enabled, the provider named in the widget receives your IP address as part of the check.

Who your data goes to

We do not sell or rent it. It goes to:

• The courier — name, address and mobile number. They cannot deliver without them.
• Our email provider, to send your order confirmation and delivery updates.
• Our hosting provider, who holds the database and the server logs.
• Error monitoring, where enabled, and Google Analytics and Meta only after you allow marketing measurement. For a consented order or enquiry, Meta receives hashed contact details, browser/network identifiers and the event details needed for attribution; it does not receive card or bank-login details.
• A manufacturer's service centre, if you make a warranty claim and only what the claim needs.
• The authorities, where the law requires it.

Marketing email

Order emails are transactional: you get them because you ordered. We do not add you to a marketing list from a purchase. Any marketing email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is honoured permanently — the address is suppressed so a later import cannot resurrect it.

How long we keep it

Orders and their history are kept as business records. Operational data — logs, blocked submissions, delivered email records — is pruned automatically on a schedule. We do not keep server logs indefinitely.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Admin access is password-protected and rate-limited, and every change an administrator makes to an order or a setting is recorded with who made it. Rich text entered in the admin is sanitised before it is stored.

No system is perfectly secure and we will not claim otherwise. What we can say is that the highest-value target — card data — is not here to be taken.

Your requests

Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it. Email support@dotpk.pk with the order number. Some records we must keep for legal and accounting reasons, and we will say so rather than quietly declining.

Children

This shop is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will update this page when what the software does changes. The date at the top of the page is when it was last reviewed.
