Security cameras, recorders and the parts that connect them, for homes, shops and offices across Pakistan. The two brands most installers here work with are Hikvision and Dahua, and both are stocked in analogue (HD over coax) and IP form. Which you want depends less on budget than on what is already in the building: if there is existing coax from an older system, an HD DVR reuses it and saves rewiring, while a new installation is almost always better served by IP cameras and an NVR because a single network cable carries both power and video. Resolution matters more than the marketing suggests. A 2MP camera shows you that somebody was at the counter; a 4MP camera shows you who. For a gate or a till, that difference is the whole point of the system. Beyond 4MP the gain is mostly in how far you can digitally zoom into a recording after the event. Every camera listed here shows its resolution, lens focal length, night-vision range and weatherproof rating before you buy, along with its warranty period. Recorders are sold without a hard drive, so budget for a surveillance-rated drive — a desktop drive will work for a few months and then fail, because continuous writing is not what it was built for.
